This is an image of world famous golf course architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie, in 1928, playing the 13th hole at Cypress Point Country Club in Monterey, California.  The original painting is acrylics on canvas and measures 12"x24".  Alister MacKenzie(1870-1934) designed some of the greatest golf courses in the world, including Augusta National, Meadow Club, Pasatiempo, Royal Melbourne, of course, Cypress Point and many many more.  When Cypress Point was completed in 1928 Dr. MacKenzie spent the day playing his masterpiece this tee shot on the 13th hole that I have brought to life with the vibrant colors of the natural landscape and the blooming Ice Plant.
